Board Policies | Work in Process
Any complaints or grievances related to discrimination should be brought to the immediate action to the office next in the chain of command who is not involved in the alleged discriminatory practice. If no office in the chain of command is reasonably available, such complaint shall be taken to the fire chief for investigation and report to the board of directors. If the fire chief is the party being complained about, the board shall appoint a special investigative committee to review the allegations and the facts and report their findings to the board of directors. If a board director is the party being complained about, the remaining board shall appoint a special investigative committee to review the allegations and the facts and report the findings to the board of directors.
Violation of this policy will be deemed sufficient grounds for dismissal or removal of position.
